Join us for Heritage Days on Flagler (FREE & Open to the Public)
In April 1896, Henry Flagler’s Florida East Coast Railway reached Biscayne Bay. Miami had about 300 people. The citizens wanted to name the new city “Flagler” — he declined and kept the name Miami.
One hundred thirty years later, Heritage Days on Flagler celebrates the birthplace of this city with a weekend of music, vintage cars, history, film, street markets, and culture on the street where it all started.
